The Kogis Indian culture in the North of Columbia is the last heritage of the important pre-Columbian Culture. Their thousands of years old tradition is based on a deep relationship to nature, to the living beings. Amazing close-up filming - showing great respect - presents a society, where there aren’t any poor, where true solidarity is lived with the aim to maintain the social balance, where people are balanced and have a balanced relationship with the others and the world. We participate in an exploration of the Kogis’ traditions that make the so called progress in our civilisation appear questionable.
"In Northern Colombia, the Kogis are the last remaining heirs of the great pre-columbian civilizations. Director Eric Julien has known them for almost 20 years and films them with great respect and closeness at their request as they struggle to preserve their identity and their memory."
